is wetworks stil holding tournaments? havent heard anything of it for a few months now, whats happened to this world?

The merger between Valve & Blizzard was ratified last week, and Wetworks will no longer be able to hold tournaments for any Valve products under the sale agreement. To the public, the change means nothing because they will still be running Steam and Valve using the current staff, however, you may or may not notice tournament servers that give cash prizes away disappearing soon from the field because the sale agreement as I understand it bans these tournaments and threatens lawsuits from Blizzard. Yeah corporate mergers, lol.

I am going to leave this post here since I have the Wetworks site down at the moment for the reformat, but we are going to a dating network and forum/chat format with the site and will have to leave the tourneys behind. Sorry all, wish I could say this wasn't so.

technically, this wouldn't be a problem. i don't need money for playing HL. i am just happy cus i play with you, but can't you make the server option [1RZ] only and set a time and date for us to meet?

damn thats a bummer, never got chance to play in n tournie, but yeah dh has got a good idea.

With the old configuration this was pretty easy, it is a lot more difficult these days to set up. But that doesn't mean it is impossible...

For the next week I will be in and out, but this up coming weekend, I am going to head camping with my brothers, so I will see what I can get set up then.
